ResonanceExtra FM continues regardless, so we are able to bring you another selection of tracks from the orbit of the Spirit of Gravity Collective.
This show contains some tracks from the latest Spirit of Gravity label release, any money made from downloads of this will be donated to the fund-raising scheme for the venues that have been our home for the last 10 years. The first half contains a lengthy piece by Melbourne based artist Gillian Lever who played for us several times as The Vainglories when she lived in Brighton. The Spirit of Gravity is finding ways to keep the unusual sounds flowing under lockdown. Exclusive tracks by the artists who had kindly agreed to appear at our May show – and then just as kindly agreed not to appear – are now available as a netlabel release: ‘Behind the shutters’.

Vera Bremerton is a classically trained vocalist who specialises in extended technique. ‘Blends classical harmonies with industrial, avantgarde, techno beats and aggressive sounds.’

Save the Rossi Bar

Spirit of Gravity live gigs have unfortunately been cancelled for the foreseeable future, due to the closing of the Rossi Bar in line with government COVID-19 guidance. However, we are releasing new material via the Spirit of Gravity netlabel each month in lieu of live events, and the radio show will continue on the 4th Sunday of each month.
