As you can imagine Xmas provides us all with a stressful opportunity to do something festive, no matter what we’re usually like.
So I’m Dr Buoyant Collected together loads of cheery Christmas samples and got together and made some spectacularly weird music. As you’d expect.
Then we had Don Tempi to show us how its done, TV Advertising from July 1981. Couldn’t be finer.
Only video of Don I’m afraid.

Finally the Samoans enacted Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
Daft buggers. Here is the bit with the chairs all upside down and the football game.

This soundclip is actually from the following night at Wrong music when they tried to do it again with mi and only one Samoan. And failed miserably.
So the first show in our new home The Three And Ten in Steine Street.
We like it, it has something of the Albert, Something of the Marlborough and a little something all of its own.
We were the first show in apart from the comedians so things were a bit tricky at first. but we soon got the hang of it.
Dan Powell opened the venue, playing from the back. Perversely. Accompanied by very abstract visuals from _minimalVector.
he never gives me titles for his pieces, so I’ve called this segment “Wilf”

Setting up on the floor of the stage with his Sitar, out of sight, but partially in range of Bartosz video feed was Same Actor making his second appearance in this blog of recent times. It is another good one, natch.

Stepping in at the last minute for Bemass, who couldn’t make it due to bela being caught ill in Vancvouver, was ‘J’m black (again) with a Safehouse Wildcard Electro-Acoustic Ensemble.
Featuring Monty Oxymoron, from The Damned, Alasdair Willis from The Vitamin B12, Alastair Strachan from Vole, and matt Grey, who I’ve not seen play before.
This is a bit from the space section of their set, before Monty got into jazzy chords.
A brief one for this.
Hot Roddy arranged a trip to London.
It was great. Really.
representing London (Twice) we had the Hang Playing Hedge Monkeys.
Providing the bridge we had Same Actor (a preview for the coming Brighton show?)
And from Brighton Noteherder & McCloud accompanied by _minimalVector

Blimey, chaos all round.
First it was going to be Vole and ‘This Sound Bureaucracy’ and ‘Jilk and Tulin-Fée’.
But Jilk and Tulin-Fée couldn’t make it.
Then it was Vole and ‘This Sound Bureaucracy’ and ‘McCloud featuring the endless guitars of Hagbard Strom’.
Then it was Vole and ‘Shitmat and Horacio Pollard and nwodtlem’ and ‘This Sound Bureaucracy’ and ‘Noteherder and McCloud’: Busy.
Then This Sound Bureaucracy pulled out.
So then it was Vole and ‘Shitmat and Horacio Pollard and nwodtlem’ and ‘McCloud featuring the endless guitars of Hagbard Strom’.
But although Shitmat and Horacio Pollard came along to the soundcheck, they had to go down to another venue they were playing later and never came back leaving…
Vole and ‘ ‘McCloud featuring the endless guitars of Hagbard Strom’.
Got that?
Well, I suppose it’s not that important anyway. But it keep me on my toes, I can tell you.

So the last minute addition was McCloud featuring the endless guitars of Hagbard Strom previewing the next Spirit of Gravity Compilation

and then quite differently, Vole played, we nearly got everyone in for this picture, we missed the trumpet and electronics player. He’s standing over on the right.
Have you seen this cat?
And because I liked the picture heres another one of Vole showing the _minimalVector visuals that helped give Vole an odd fifties arthouse film vibe.
If you’ll excuse the pun.
While the sun treated us to a lovely September treat we treated our ears.
Starting off the evening with a set of Buddha machine and Deer noises was Fallow. Creepy, Loud, quiet and blissful by turns.
Here’s a quiet bit so you can hear the Buddha Machines.
The buddha and the beast
Continuing the run opf arriving late from the west country with no time to soundcheck we had Little Boat and his guitar (lovely old) amp and pedals.
This is a cover version, it kind of stops halfway through, but that doesn’t matter.
cover version.
And rounding off the evening were the wonderful Power Up, violin, voice and various electronics I think this section has something of the variety of their set.
song from the middle
fabulous.
